2 drug smugglers held in Jammu with 29kgs hashish | India News – Times of India

JAMMU: J&K Anti-Narcotic Task Force (ANTF) on Wednesday arrested two Kashmir-based drug smugglers and recovered over 29kgs of hashish (high quality cannabis) worth crores from them.
The accused, Shabir Ahmed of Sudrabal in Srinagar, and Sayeed Bilal Qadri of Hamdaniya Colony in Srinagar, were transporting the contraband from Srinagar to outside J&K in a truck. ANTF SSP Vinay Kumar Sharma said, “Specific information was received that two persons were carrying a large quantity of hashish concealed in a truck coming from Kashmir Valley and passing through Jammu. The truck was intercepted and during search 29.8 kgs of hashish was found concealed in a specially designed space in a cabin of the truck.”
The SSP said that more arrests were expected in the case.
