Hijab row at Tamil Nadu civic poll booth | India News – Times of India


MADURAI: An argument broke out on Saturday between a BJP agent and others at a polling station in Tamil Nadu’s Madurai when he objected to a woman voter wearing a hijab. Following this, the BJP agent was sent out of the booth.
DMK condemned the man for opposing the Muslim woman and sought action.
Party women wing secretary Kanimozhi also demanded action against him for trying to disturb communal harmony in Tamil Nadu.
