Hyderabad, June 30: A complaint has been lodged against top officials of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) alleging financial mismanagement and irregularities in decision-making. The complaint, filed by a group of HCA members, accuses the officials of misusing funds and making unauthorized financial decisions.
According to sources, the complaint alleges that the HCA officials have been involved in large-scale financial irregularities, including embezzlement and misappropriation of funds. The complainants have also accused the officials of violating the association’s constitution and by-laws.
The HCA is the governing body for cricket in the Hyderabad region and is responsible for managing the sport in the state. The association has been plagued by internal conflicts and power struggles in recent years, leading to allegations of financial mismanagement.
The complaint has been filed with the Telangana State Cricket Association (TSCA) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The TSCA has promised to investigate the allegations and take appropriate action.
“We will conduct a thorough inquiry into the allegations and take necessary steps to ensure that the finances of the HCA are managed transparently and in accordance with the rules,” said a TSCA official.
The BCCI has also sought a report from the HCA on the allegations. “We are monitoring the situation and will take appropriate action if any financial irregularities are found,” said a BCCI official.
The development has sent shockwaves in the cricket fraternity in Hyderabad, with many calling for greater transparency and accountability in the management of the sport.
