Jamshedpur, September 24, 2024 – The Tata Steel Sports Department successfully organized the Inter-Divisional Kabaddi Tournament (Men) on September 23-24 at the Armoury Ground. The event concluded with a grand ceremony attended by Chief Guest Runa Rajeev Kumar, Head of Corporate Communication, Jharkhand, along with Guests of Honour Renu Bhaduria and Punam Singh.
The tournament saw enthusiastic participation from 144 participants representing 12 units of Tata Steel. Demonstrating exceptional skill and sportsmanship, the team from Wire Division, Maharashtra emerged as the winners. The West Bokaro Division secured the runner-up position, while Tata Steel Kalinganagar finished as the second runner-up.
Tata Steel’s commitment to promoting sports and fostering camaraderie among its workforce was evident throughout the tournament. The event provided an excellent platform for employees to showcase their Kabaddi skills and engage in healthy competition. Technical officials for the event included Tilak Ram Sahu, Jaswant Kumar, Ramesh Kumar, Basanti Mahato, Nitu Kumari, and Ajay Hembrom.
