Germany will not supply fighter jets to Ukraine: German Chancellor Olaf Scholz

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said yesterday that Germany will not supply fighter jets to Ukraine. Significantly, Ukraine is demanding the supply of advanced and state-of-the-art fighter aircraft from western countries. In a conversation with a newspaper, Mr. Scholz said that this war is not happening between NATO and Russia and the organization will not allow any move to escalate the ongoing war between the two countries.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stressed that Ukraine needs more heavy weapons, including long-range missiles and fighter jets. However, Germany has committed to supply 14 Leopard-2 tanks to Ukraine by Wednesday.
