Election Commission Announces Special Summary Revision 2024 in Maharashtra

As the state Assembly polls approach, the Election Commission has launched the Special Summary Revision 2024 in Maharashtra. The program aims to establish polling booths in large housing societies, ensuring convenient voting locations for residents.

To achieve this, the poll panel will appoint presidents and secretaries of Cooperative Housing Societies as booth-level volunteers. These volunteers will update the electoral list by adding eligible voters’ names and removing those who have left the society or passed away.

Housing societies can establish a booth by contacting the nearest Booth Level Officer or submitting an online application on the Election Commission website through Google forms. The Chief Election Officer urged societies to take steps to set up voting booths in convenient locations for voters.

This initiative aims to enhance voter convenience and increase participation in the democratic process.
