India’s Rohan Bopanna Advances in Wimbledon Men’s Doubles, Sumit Nagal Exits

Indian tennis player Rohan Bopanna, partnering with Australia’s Matthew Ebden, secured a victory in the first round of the Men’s Doubles at Wimbledon in London. The second-seeded duo defeated the Dutch pair, Sander Arends and Robin Haase, 7-5, 6-4. They will face Germany’s Hendrik Jebens and Constantin Frantzen in the next round.

However, India’s Sumit Nagal, partnering with Serbia’s Dusan Lajovic, lost in straight sets to Spain’s Pedro Martinez and Jaume Munar, 6-2, 6-2. Earlier, Sumit Nagal had exited the Men’s Singles competition, losing to Serbia’s Miomir Kecmanovic.

Today, India’s Yuki Bhambri, partnering with France’s Albano Olivetti, will face Kazakhstan’s Alexander Bublik and Alexander Shevchenko. Additionally, India’s N Sriram Balaji, partnering with Great Britain’s Luke Johnson, will face reigning French Open champions Mate Pavic of Croatia and Marcelo Arevalo of El Salvador.
