UPSC Files FIR Against IAS Trainee Puja Khedkar for Fraudulent Exam Attempts

As stated by the UPSC, Khedkar, joining the Pune Collectorate for probationary purpose in June 2024, assumed fake identity inclusive of name, her parents’ names, photograph, signature, e-mail id, mobile number and address with the intention of attempting more than permissible chances of the examination. She is also blamed for indulging in favorism she has used the OBC and PwBD categories for clearing the examination.
In the case of Khedkar, it was established that he had cheated an examination to which the UPSC was a Lifecycle if not the only Lifecycle, involved in the process to the extent of refusing him the right to the UPSC and further moving to have him criminally prosecuted and served with a show cause notice. The concerned FIR has been lodged in the Delhi Police Crime Branch under section of forgery, cheating, the IT Act, and the Disability Act.
The UPSC pointed out its stand on how it requires and will continue to uphold the honest and credible nature of the examination it conducts.
