CBI Arrests Four Accused in Bribery and Corruption Case, Recovers ₹4 Crore
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested four individuals, including a manager of Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh, in a bribery and corruption case. During searches, the agency recovered approximately ₹4 crore in cash from the accused manager’s residence.
According to the CBI, the amount was allegedly accumulated from various contractors and officials in exchange for favors for their operations in NCL, Singrauli. One of the accused was operating a farm in Madhya Pradesh and allegedly acted as a middleman between contractors, businessmen, and NCL officials, delivering bribes to them.
The CBI has registered multiple cases against the accused and conducted searches at several locations in Singrauli, Jabalpur, and Noida. The searches yielded a large sum of cash, digital devices, and several incriminating documents.
