Mango Municipal Corporation Initiates Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 with Human Chain for Cleanliness
Jamshedpur, September 19, 2024 – In a unique initiative to foster community cleanliness, the Mango Municipal Corporation kicked off the Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 campaign by forming a human chain from its office to Mango Main Road. This event, part of a broader cleanliness drive from September 17 to October 2, aims to instill a sense of responsibility for cleanliness among residents of Jamshedpur.
Human Chain for Cleanliness Awareness
The initiative saw DDC Manish Kumar leading the charge as the chief guest, where he not only participated in the cleanliness activities but also administered an oath to office workers, local dignitaries, and school children to uphold cleanliness. The human chain stretched from the municipal corporation office to the main road, symbolizing unity in the quest for a cleaner environment.
Swachhata Hi Seva 2024: A Call to Action
DDC Manish Kumar highlighted the significance of the campaign by stressing the importance of proper waste management, including segregation of dry and wet waste, avoiding plastic use, and utilizing garbage collection services effectively. He urged the public to maintain cleanliness, especially with the festive season approaching, to keep the city’s environment pristine.

The event was marked by the participation of key figures including Deputy Municipal Commissioner Ranjit Lohar, Aqib Javed, Santosh Kumar, City Manager Jitendra Kumar, along with Nirmal Kumar, Kunal Kumar, and the Brand Ambassador of Mango Municipal Corporation, Mukhtar Alam Khan. The involvement of local dignitaries, office staff, and students from nearby government schools added a community flavor to the initiative.
