Macau, Sep 26 – In a thrilling day of matches at the Macau Open Badminton, India’s Kidambi Srikanth emerged victorious against compatriot Ayush Shetty with a score of 21-13, 21-18 in the men’s singles pre-quarterfinal match.

In the women’s doubles, the third-seed Indian pair of Gayatri Gopichand and Treesa Jolly defeated the Taiwanese duo of Lin Chih-Chun and Teng Chun-Hsun 22-20, 21-11 in a Round of 16 match, showcasing their dominance on the court.

However, in the women’s singles, Indian shuttler Tasnim Mir faced a tough challenge and was defeated by the fourth seed Tomoka Miyazaki of Japan with scores of 17-21, 21-13, 10-21 in a pre-quarterfinal match.
