Dr. Ajay Kumar Meets Warehouse Owners

Jamshedpur: Former MP and senior Congress leader Dr. Ajay Kumar met with the warehouse owners of Lal Baba Foundry on Thursday to discuss the ongoing issues surrounding the potential demolition of their properties. Dr. Kumar assured the owners that Chief Minister Hemant Soren has promised that the warehouses and houses will not be demolished immediately. However, he emphasized the need for a legal battle to secure their properties, pledging his full support in this endeavor.

During his visit, Dr. Kumar criticized the previous BJP government led by Raghuvar Das for not including Lal Baba Foundry in the list of 86 settlements that were taken out of lease. He argued that this omission has weakened their legal position and led to the current predicament. Dr. Kumar also questioned the role of MLA Saryu Rai, accusing him of neglecting the issue for five years and now shedding “crocodile tears.”

Dr. Kumar highlighted the plight of the Lal Baba Foundry residents, contrasting their struggles with the BJP’s focus on the Parivartan Yatra. He pointed out the absence of statements from BJP leaders like MP Vidyut Varan Mahto and Central Minister Arjun Munda on this issue, accusing them of being more interested in taking credit than addressing the problem.
