Lima, Peru – Ace Indian shooter Parth Rakesh Mane showcased his exceptional talent by securing double gold medals in the 10m air rifle events on day three of the ongoing International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Junior World Championship. His stellar performance has significantly contributed to India’s dominance at the championship.

Individual and Team Triumphs

Parth Rakesh Mane clinched the gold in the 10m air rifle individual event with a remarkable score of 250.7 in the 24-shot final, narrowly defeating reigning junior Asian champion Huang Liwanlin of China by 0.7 points. This victory was a testament to Parth’s precision and composure under pressure.

In addition to his individual success, Parth, along with teammates Ajay Malik and Abhinav Shaw, secured the gold in the 10m air rifle men’s team event. Their combined efforts ensured a top podium finish, further solidifying India’s position in the championship.

Women’s Team Success

India’s third gold of the day came from the junior women’s 10m air rifle team event, where Gautami Bhanot, Sambhavi Kshirsagar, and Anoushka Thakur delivered an outstanding performance. Their teamwork and skill earned them the top spot, adding to India’s impressive medal tally.

Overall Performance

Parth’s compatriots, Ajay Malik and Abhinav Shaw, also performed admirably, finishing fifth and seventh respectively in the individual event. Ajay Malik scored 186.7, while Abhinav Shaw ended with 144.2. Their contributions were crucial in the team event victory.

With five gold medals to date, India continues to lead the overall medal tally at the ISSF Junior World Championship, showcasing the country’s growing prowess in shooting sports.
