The School of Emerging Media and Creator Economy (SEMCE) at K.R. Mangalam University organized an Inter-University Open Mic Competition as a highlight of its flagship fest, Create-A-Thon 2025, held on September 23, 2025. The eagerly awaited results were announced on September 26, 2025.
The competition drew student performers from multiple universities, creating a lively atmosphere filled with creativity, humor, and cultural expression. Contestants showcased their talent in poetry, stand-up comedy, storytelling, and spoken word, reflecting a spirit of free expression and fostering cultural bonding on campus.
Adding star power to the event, popular influencers Devesh Sharma, Nikhil Chandra, and Abhishek Vaid engaged with the audience, boosting the energy and reach of the program. They also interacted with KRMU students, sharing personal insights into the creator economy, content strategies, monetization techniques, and evolving opportunities in the digital ecosystem.
Prof. Amit Chawla, Dean of SEMCE, commended the student coordinators and faculty members for their exceptional management of the event. He emphasized SEMCE’s commitment to nurturing innovation, creativity, and practical learning, aligning academic knowledge with real-world industry practices.
The Open Mic Competition stood out as a celebration of student voices and cultural collaboration, reinforcing Create-A-Thon 2025 as a milestone event for SEMCE and the wider K.R. Mangalam University community.
