Despite crores of rupees being spent to stop the leakage of Dal Lake in Naddi, the lake remains on the verge of drying up. The Municipal Corporation of Dharamshala is planning to make arrangements for the fish in the lake, but a permanent solution to the leakage is crucial.
Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania has assured that the revival of Dal Lake will be undertaken soon. Experts from the Geological Survey of India, IIT Roorkee, and IIT Delhi will be consulted. Pathania mentioned that if the Director of Wadia Institute Dehradun forms a technical committee, they could potentially stop the leakage in the near future.

Pathania, speaking at an event during Tourism Week at Dharamshala College, also highlighted the construction of the Kareri track, a four-hour trek. Additionally, the Dhauladhar Expressway will reduce the distance from McLeodganj to Dalhousie by 41 kilometers.
Pathania emphasized the need for collaboration between the tourism and forest departments to promote eco-tourism in Himachal Pradesh. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has proposed forming an eco-tourism board in the state, similar to those in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Himachal Pradesh, with its natural forests, has the potential to become a major eco-tourism destination.
