DAMMAM, SAUDI ARABIA – January 21, 2025 – In an electrifying match at the Prince Mohamed bin Fahd Stadium, Cristiano Ronaldo showcased his enduring prowess by scoring twice in Al-Nassr’s 3-1 triumph over Al-Khaleej. Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 65th minute with a well-placed shot from outside the box, following an assist from Otavio. However, Al-Khaleej managed to equalize in the 80th minute from a penalty kick by Kostas Fortounis. The match quickly swung back in Al-Nassr’s favor when Sultan Al-Ghannam scored a minute later, restoring their lead. Ronaldo then sealed the match in stoppage time, ensuring Al-Nassr’s victory and his own position as the league’s leading scorer with his 13th goal of the season.

Despite a strong challenge from Al-Khaleej, who played most of the match with ten men after a red card, Al-Nassr maintained their dominance, keeping their hopes alive in the race for the Saudi Pro League title. This win keeps Al-Nassr in third place, still trailing significantly behind Al Hilal but clearly demonstrating their intent to compete.

Ronaldo’s performance has been a beacon of excellence in the league, with his goals not only contributing to team victories but also drawing global attention to the Saudi Pro League. His current tally puts him ahead of Al Hilal’s Aleksandar Mitrovic and Al Ittihad’s Karim Benzema, showcasing his remarkable scoring ability despite being in his late career.

As Al-Nassr prepares for upcoming matches, Ronaldo’s form and leadership will undoubtedly be pivotal in their quest to challenge for the title, underlining his status as one of football’s all-time greats even in a new footballing landscape.
