Wild fires are raging through North America and emergency and fire services are struggling to put out the fires as heat wave registered record temperature. These problems cover the regional areas of states in California, Washington, and Oregon, as well as other states in the US and part of Canada.
Literally, the US National Interagency Fire Centre has informed the public and all concerned that there are 84 large fires with 14 of them being out of control across the country; many of the northwest wildfire fire are exhibiting ‘extreme fire behaviour’. More than twenty one thousand, five hundred wildland firefighters are still working round the clock to prevent further spread of the fires.
The situation is rather critical, mainly given by heatwaves and dry conditions that helped the wildfires to spread so quickly. The conditions are rather tough for firefighters, heat, dry vegetation, and winds help the spread of the flames.
This has already proved catastrophic by having burnt down thousands of acres of land and displaced many individuals from their homes. It is still uncertain how worse it has gotten but there is evidence that the situation is rather dire.
It means that local authorities are calling people to be cautious and follow all the measures in order to protect themselves from criminal attacks. People are urged to heed evacuation warnings and be updated on the current happenings.
As the situation remains unchained, what can be said for certain is that the fight of the firefighters battling these wildfires is nothing short of admirable.
