The nation will pay homage to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi on his 75th death anniversary today. This day is also celebrated as Martyr’s Day. Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated by Nathuram Godse on this day in 1948. An all-religion prayer meeting will be organized at the Gandhi Samadhi at Rajghat in New Delhi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi bowed to Mahatma Gandhi on his ‘death anniversary’ and remembered his thoughts. Modi also paid tribute to those who were martyred in the service of the nation.
