The Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina presented the National Film Awards-2021 in 27 categories at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center in Dhaka yesterday.

Noted actors Dolly Johar and Ilyas Kanchan were honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award for their outstanding contribution to the film industry and television. Ilyas Kanchan acted in more than three hundred films and has also been honored with the National Award.

Lal Murger Jhooti and Nona Joler Kaabu were jointly awarded in the Best Film category. Dhor was awarded in the short film category. Bodobhumite Ek-Din has been given the award for Best Documentary Film.

The Best Director award has been given to Rizwan Shahriyar Sumit.

Best Actress Award went to Ajmeri Haque Badhan for the film Rehana Mariam Noor and Tasanova Tamanna for Nona Joler Kabu.

The child artist award was given to Afia Tabassum. The Best Music Director award went to Sujoy Sham.
