PM Modi Addresses Nation in Mann Ki Baat, Expresses Gratitude for Successful Lok Sabha Elections
In his monthly radio address, Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his gratitude to the people of India for reiterating their faith in the Constitution and democratic systems of the country in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections. He highlighted that the 2024 General Elections saw a record-breaking 65 crore people casting their votes, making it the largest election in the world.
PM Modi also paid tribute to Veer Sidhu and Kanhu, who fought against British atrocities in 1855, and noted that June 30th is celebrated as ‘Hool Diwas’ in their honor. He appealed to people to plant trees in the name of their mothers as part of the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, which has gained popularity on social media with the hashtags #Plant4Mother and #Ek_Ped_Maa_Ke_Naam.
The Prime Minister also spoke about various initiatives and achievements, including the expansion of forest areas, creation of Amrit Sarovars, and the success of local products like Araku coffee and snow peas. He urged people to share stories of such products with the hashtag #myproductsmypride.
Other topics discussed included the celebration of International Day of Yoga, Indian culture’s global recognition, and upcoming events like the Paris Olympics and Rath Yatra.
