Armed Robbery in Navi Mumbai: Thieves Steal Gold Ornaments Worth Rs 11.80 Lakh from Kharghar Jewellery Shop
Navi Mumbai, July 30, 2024: A brazen jewellery shop robbery occurred in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, on Sunday night, leaving the owner and employees shaken. Three unidentified robbers, disguised in raincoats and helmets, entered BM Jewelers, located at shop number 4, Ekram Heritage, sector 35, Kharghar, and stole 236 grams of gold ornaments worth Rs 11.80 lakh.

The robbers were armed with a handgun and after ordering owner Radhesham Gujar and all his employees to lie down on the ground fired in the air to intimidate them. They managed to flee on a bike, while shooting more bullets in the air to scare away the people that attempted to apprehend them.

The local Kharghar police have lodged a complaint under section 311 and 109 of the Bharatiya Nayaya Sanhita 2023 and provisions of the Arms Act. Currently the police are utilizing such technical aspects such as CCTV in a bid to arrest the offenders and find the stolen property.
