Enforcement Directorate Takes Action Against Congress Leader for Alleged Involvement in Grain Transportation Scam, Fake Billing

The Enforcement Directorate has arrested Punjab Congress Committee Working President and former Cabinet Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu in the tender allocation scam. The State Vigilance Office had exposed this scam. The Directorate had sent summons to Ashu for investigation. He was questioned in the scam related to transportation of grains from the mandis.

The State Vigilance Office found out that the grains were transported in vehicles with scooter numbers. Ashu’s name has been included among the accused. He is accused of taking advantage of more than two crore rupees through fake bills. Ashu was the Food and Supplies Minister in the Captain Amarinder Singh government.
