The employees are expecting a logical and employee favorable settlement of their pending demands for quite long period.
The CITU has asked the state government to solve the problems; restructuring of pay scales, new post formation, less duration for promotion and regularization of the contractual employees. It has also called on trade unions, democratic organization and the whole public to support the strike.
In today’s letter to the Chief Minister, While urging her to open negotiations for having the strike lifted in the public interest, CITU General Secretary, Vishwajit Deb has claimed that the state was paralysed due to the employees’ organisation’s strike.

Federation has been very sensitive towards non-settlement of the demands of the employees and has called for early settlement of that issue.
