Jharkhand Set to Host Historic Women’s T20 League

Ranchi, August 6, 2024: The Women cricket in Jharkhand received a major boost with JSCA and WCA Jamshedpur signing a partnership agreement to conduct a domestic Women’s T20 league annual. The tournament is set to be held from 5th-15th September 2024 at the JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi which is all set to be a historical event in the Women’s Cricket.

This league will consist of five teams that would comprise local players of Jharkhand; it would help women cricketers gain exposure and play competitive matches. The proposed system will enable players as well as the coaches monitor their performance throughout the tournament as there will be thirteen matches.

The tie up between of JSCA and WCA Jamshedpur is another landmark addition that needs to be hailed for propelling women cricket in Jharkhand. The tournament is in with their policy of empowering female cricketer and encourage the up and coming generations to go for cricket.

‘‘We are glad to be affiliated with WCA Jamshedpur to host this interesting tournament in Jharkhand,” said Dr. Narendra Sinha, the Vice President of JSCA and the Chairman of Women’s T20 Organizing Committee. ”This is a perfect chance for our women cricket players to show their talents and establish themselves in the cricketing world”.

Mr. Raman Kumar Singh, the Managing Director, WCA Jamshedpur also echoed the sentiment and said, It is our privilege to be a part of the tournament and to aid in women’s cricket in Jharkhand We see a great future ahead of this tournament and contributing towards making youth dreams come true.

The Jharkhand Women’s T20 League is going to be a historical landmark of the list of state cricket association fixtures and certainly, every ratifying game as well as performance of the women crickets are going to be impressive among the spectators.
