During the event, people were also made aware of the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal (www.ceir.gov.in) , a Government of India initiative. CEIR allows citizens to register their lost or stolen mobile phones, making it easier for authorities to track and recover them.
The police department’s efforts under Operation ‘Asha’ demonstrate their commitment to public service and community engagement. By returning lost mobile phones and promoting awareness about CEIR, the police are making a positive impact on the lives of citizens.
