Government to Provide Job on Compassionate Grounds, Rs 1 Crore 29 Lakh Assistance to Family

Ranchi, August 2024 – In a heartfelt gesture, Chief Minister Hemant Soren met the family members of Late Havildar Chauhan Hembram, who was brutally murdered during duty, at his residential office in Kanke Road, Ranchi. The Chief Minister expressed deep condolences to the family and assured them of justice and support in every situation.

The Chief Minister announced that a member of the family will be given a government job on compassionate grounds, and all necessary procedures will be completed soon. Additionally, the state government will provide approximately Rs 1 crore 29 lakh to the dependent family, including:

– Rs 60 lakh compensation payment in accordance with Resolution No. 4179/dated 09.07.24 of Home, Prison and Disaster Management Department
– Rs 50 lakh benefit of police salary package made through SBI
– Rs 11 lakh 25 thousand gratuity
– Rs 5 lakh 62 thousand 500 earned leave salary
– Rs 1 lakh provident fund
– Rs 37 thousand group insurance
– Rs 30 thousand charitable fund assistance
– Rs 9 thousand family pension

Details of the Incident

Havildar Chauhan Hembram, a resident of village-Pindatad, police station-Taratan, Giridih district, was working with Hazaribagh District Force when he was brutally murdered by a criminal on August 12, 2024, during duty.

MLA Kalpana Soren was also present at the meeting and expressed condolences to the family members. She consoled them and assured her support in this difficult time.
