Jamshedpur, August 17, 2024 – A peace march was organized today at Vijaya Heritage, Phase 6, Ulian, Kadma, by women and men from various organizations, to protest against the increasing crime, rape, and atrocities against women in the city and country.
The marchers expressed grief and outrage over the recent brutal rape and murder of a female doctor, emphasizing the need for immediate and strong action from the government to prevent such incidents. They highlighted the irony of worshipping women as goddesses while failing to ensure their safety.

The protesters demanded punitive action against the culprits, special laws, and death penalty for such heinous crimes. They drew parallels with the Nirbhaya case, stressing the need for swift punishment to deter criminals.
The marchers resolved to unite and fight against all atrocities and injustice, urging the Central Government to amend laws and ensure immediate death penalty for culprits committing such acts.
