Netaji Subhash University Welcomes New Students with Grand “Nav Aagaman Samaroh”
Jamshedpur, Netaji Subhash University in Pokhari, adjacent to the city, organized a grand “Nav Aagaman Samaroh” on Friday to welcome newly enrolled students for the 2024 session. The ceremony, held in the university auditorium, was a vibrant celebration of new beginnings, featuring colorful cultural programs, inspiring speeches, and a warm welcome to the new students.

The event began with a grand procession, followed by the lighting of the lamp by the chief guest, District Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal. The auditorium was packed with students, faculty members, and staff, all eager to witness the grand welcome.
Dean Academics D Shom welcomed the newly enrolled students, and they were sworn in to focus on achieving their goals with courtesy and perfect conduct. The students were presented with bags and other materials, symbolizing the university’s commitment to supporting their academic journey.
The ceremony featured a range of cultural programs, including Ganesh Vandana, dance performances, and programs based on de-addiction. The students showcased their talents, and the audience was treated to a spectacular display of music, dance, and drama.
The highlight of the event was the inspiring speeches delivered by the special guests. District Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal praised the university management and the education system available, saying, “If there are such universities and colleges in the district, then the students here will not have to go elsewhere for higher education. By studying here, they will participate in the development of the region.”
Principal Secretary LR Nalin Kumar Pradhan emphasized the importance of discipline, dedication, and hard work in achieving success. He said, “The student should be a home-renunciate, eat less, sleep less, be hardworking and disciplined.”
District Judge Anil Kumar Mishra taught the students to move forward with discipline in life, emphasizing that goals can be achieved with discipline, honesty, and hard work. He also praised the university management, saying, “The university is doing a great job in providing quality education and facilities to the students.”
