Adityapur, August 17, 2024 – Srinath University hosted a program called “Shabd Dhwani” where Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha, Harivansh Narayan Singh, was the chief guest. The event saw the launch of a book titled “Newsprint to Heart Print” based on Singh’s tenure as a journalist. The book was authored by Prof. Dr. Abhijit Chattoraj, Dr. Srinath Sridharan, and Dr. Saloni Sinha.

Singh shared his experiences and challenges faced during his time at Prabhat Khabar, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and technology in today’s world. He highlighted the success of Prabhat Khabar as a result of collective efforts and encouraged the youth to stay connected with technology. Singh also spoke about his travels and how they influenced his journalism.

Other notable guests included Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Rai, RTA Kolhan Dinesh Ranjan, and the authors of the book. Saryu Rai praised Singh as a fighter and hardworking individual who fearlessly reported on corruption.

The program began with the lighting of the lamp and a dance drama performance by Assistant Professor Omnish Das. The authors were interviewed by Shri Kaushik Mishra and Assistant Professor Shivani Gorai, followed by an interview with Singh.

Students also asked Singh questions related to journalism, which he answered. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Principal in charge of Srinath College of Education, Mrs. Rachna Rashmi.
