Jamshedpur: In a significant initiative aimed at spreading awareness and providing benefits of state government welfare schemes, former MP and senior Congress leader Dr. Ajay Kumar flagged off the Jan Kalyan Rath from Baridiha Chowk on July 9. The vehicle has since been traveling to various areas of Jamshedpur, informing residents about schemes such as old age pension, widow pension, ration cards, Ayushman cards, Aadhar cards, and the Jharkhand government’s ambitious Maiya Samman Yojana, while also assisting with online applications.

In just 60 days, the Jan Kalyan Rath has benefited 10,599 people. Among these, 3,050 individuals have received various pensions, 2,552 families have obtained ration cards, 459 people have acquired voter cards, 105 individuals have benefited from the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, and 1,583 people have received Ayushman cards. Additionally, 2,850 people have benefited from the Maiya Samman Yojana.
Dr. Ajay Kumar emphasized the initiative’s goal of reaching out to people and ensuring they receive the benefits of government schemes. He stated, “Our aim is to make Jamshedpur safer and better. We are committed to working at every level to achieve this goal. The Jan Kalyan Rath will continue to visit different areas daily, raising awareness and providing assistance.”
The success of the program is attributed to the collective efforts of Human Welfare Trust’s trustee Asif Mohammad Ilyas Khan, engineer Haji Syed Manzar Amin, Hind ITI director Dr. Mohammad Tahir Hussain, Shafi Ahmed Shafo Shamshad Begum, and Govind Vidyalaya’s president Dr. BD Sharma, along with other dedicated individuals.
