In response to the continuous rainfall over the past three days, Health and Food Supply Minister Mr. Banna Gupta has issued urgent instructions to the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum. The rising water levels of the Swarnarekha and Kharkai rivers have reached near-dangerous levels, prompting the minister to take swift action to ensure the safety of residents in the coastal areas of Jamshedpur.
Minister Gupta has directed the Deputy Commissioner to identify and relocate affected individuals to safer locations if necessary. He emphasized the importance of providing adequate arrangements for medicines, accommodation, and food for those displaced by the rising waters. The minister’s instructions also include a call for comprehensive relief and rescue operations to be carried out promptly.

In a post on his social media account X, Minister Gupta expressed his concern for the safety of the people living along the riverbanks. He urged residents to remain vigilant and avoid entering the river. Additionally, he appealed to Congress workers and his supporters to assist in the relief efforts and support the affected families.
The minister’s proactive measures aim to mitigate the impact of the flooding and ensure the well-being of the residents in the affected areas.
