Such an abrupt cancellation of nine passengers’ trains for Tatanagar – Chakradharpur section is regrettable, and it has put the railway passengers in a very frustrating situation. In a way that is a very disappointing state of affair as the trains which are to run today have been cancelled by the South Eastern Railway authorities without any intimation and many hundred of passengers are likely to be affected.

According to reports, 7 trains are being cancelled from Tatanagar, while 2 trains are being cancelled from Chakradharpur station. The cancelled trains include the Chakradharpur-Tata-Chakradharpur special train, Rourkela-Tata-Rourkela special train, Gomo-Chakradharpur-Gomo express train, Tata-Bilaspur-Tata express train, and Itwari-Tata express train.
This is so embarrassing especially for passengers who rely on these trains for their daily commute, many of them have been stranded at the stations. Delays in the cancellation of trains is also being felt by many passengers who are being locked out or seeking new means to get to their intended destinations.
As to why all the trains are being canceled the information is still lacking but according to insiders it seems to be operational themed. Carl, the official media communications for the South Eastern Railway has said, ‘There is no formal announcement of cancellation of trains’.
