Congress MP Rahul Gandhi Condemns Brutal Killing of BSP State Chief K Armstrong in Chennai

New Delhi: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi expressed deep shock over the brutal killing of K Armstrong, the Tamil Nadu Chief of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), near his residence in Chennai. Armstrong was hacked to death by a group of unidentified men in Perambur on July 5. In a heartfelt message, Gandhi extended condolences to Armstrong’s family, friends, and followers. He emphasized that Tamil Nadu Congress leaders are in close contact with the state government to ensure swift justice for the culprits.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin also condemned the assassination, assuring expedited police action to bring the perpetrators to justice. The ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and the Congress, both allies in the INDIA bloc, are closely monitoring the case.

Meanwhile, the Chennai police have secured eight suspects and formed a special team to investigate the murder. CM Stalin stated, “Bahujan Samaj Party State President Mr. Armstrong’s assassination is shocking and deeply saddening.” He ordered the police officers to conduct the case expeditiously and bring the culprits to justice as per the law.

BSP Chief Mayawati strongly condemned the killing, urging the state government to swiftly punish those responsible.
