Kriti Kumari, 24-year-old women was stabbed to death by a man at her PG Accommodation on July 23, 2024. The accused man, Abhishek has been arrested from Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh. He was brought to Bengaluru on Saturday.
According to the sources, the incident took place around 11 pm.
The whole incident was captured in a CCTV Camera. In the footage, the man was seen dragging Kriti in the lobby. After that he pinned her with the wall and stabbed her multiple times. Kriti tried to resist from the attack but surrendered after the injuries. Bruising her badly, the man escaped from the spot.
After listening to the screaming of Kriti, women from upstairs came to see her and found her injured. One of the girls immediately called the police.
The woman died as her neck was slit open by the attack.
According to the sources, Kriti Kumari, 24-year-old woman, was from Bihar and was living at PG Accommodation in Bengaluru’s bustling Koramangala. The woman worked at a private company.
The accused man, Abhishek has been arrested from Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh. The cop said, “He had switched off his mobile, even though we traced him.”
According to the investigation, Abhishek was the boyfriend of Kriti’s roommate. Abhishek often visited PG to meet her girlfriend and argued with his girlfriend. Kriti often intervened between the two to solve their conflicts. Police said that Kumari had asked her roommate to stop living with Abhishek and move with her.
The cop also said, “We have not recovered the knife used in crime. We have not questioned him yet on the motive.”
The statement states that the motive behind the crime is not clear yet.
The police source also said, “For some time, he had arranged an accommodation for his girlfriend. But she moved out and started living with Kumari. Abhishek made a regular visit to the PG which forced Kriti to shift her roommate to another PG. This made the Abhishek furious and had a fight with Kumari a few days prior to the incident.”
