Narbheram Hansraj English School, Bistupur, successfully hosted the Zonal ASISC Declamation Contest on 10th August 2024. The event saw participation from twenty-five schools across the city, competing in three categories: Sub-Junior, Junior, and Senior.
The Sub-Junior category was judged by Mrs. Vandana Jain, who holds a B.A. in Political Science and an MBA in Finance, and is a Rotarian; Dr. Pratibha Singh, who has an MBA, M.A., and Ph.D. in English and is a senior school teacher at DAV, Bistupur; and Mrs. Anindita Roy, the Vice Principal of Jusco School Kadma, Jamshedpur.

In the Junior category, the judges were Prof. Giridhar Ramachandran, who has a Ph.D. from IIT Madras and is a Professor at XLRI, Jamshedpur; Dr. Basudhara Roy, who holds a Ph.D. in English, is a poet, and an Assistant Professor at the Department of English, Karim City College, Jamshedpur; and Dr. Manisha Titus, who has an M.A., B.Ed., M.Phil, and Ph.D., and is the Head of the University Department of English at Jamshedpur Women’s University.
The Senior category participants were evaluated by Mrs. Jayanti Banerjee Das, who has an M.A. in English, an M.Phil in Humanities, an MBA in HR, and 38 years of teaching experience in schools, colleges, and management institutes; Mrs. Mitali Roy Chaudhury, an educationist, academician, counsellor, and retired Principal of a prestigious school in Jamshedpur; and Dr. Parineeta Shukla, who has an M.A., B.Ed., and Ph.D. in Psychology and is the Principal of RMS School, Jamshedpur.
The event provided a platform for students to showcase their oratory skills and was conducted smoothly under the guidance of the school’s Principal, Mrs. Paramita Roy Chaudhury. The program was well attended by members of the management committee and other esteemed guests.
