AIDSO Stages Demonstration and Dharna at DC Office in Jamshedpur, Demands Action on Educational Issues
The All India Democratic Students’ Organisation (AIDSO) East Singhbhum District Committee staged a demonstration and dharna at the DC office in Jamshedpur on August 10, 2024, highlighting various educational problems in the district. The protest was held on the occasion of the 8th East Singhbhum District Students Conference.
The members of the AIDSO organization organised a rally from Sakchi Ambagwan to Sakchi Golchakar and handed over a memorandum to the DD addressed to the Chief Minister. Specific issues highlighted on the memorandum included the Employment of teachers on vacant positions, early conductance of the generic paper exams at Kolhan University, Free bus for the students.

The protesters also wanted the urgent discontinuation of excessive fee rates and other charges in private schools and complete prohibition from drug addiction, financial scandals, and liquor shops for the protection of girl students. Besides, they demanded to read life experiences of great personalities or revolutionaries and read literature of Premchand and Sharatchandra.
The AIDSO deputed this note of the organizational demands said that the arrangements should be made on these issues to alter the education scene in the district on urgent bases. The demonstration and dharna were just an activity of the organisation and a way to draw people’s attention towards the emerging educational crisis in the area.
