Dr. Mohammad Yunus Announces Reforms Ahead of Bangladesh Elections

Dr. Mohammad Yunus, Chief Advisor of the Interim Government in Bangladesh has said that elections in the country will be held immediately after the necessary reforms. During a meeting with diplomats in the capital Dhaka yesterday, he said that elections will be held in the country only after necessary reforms in the judiciary, administration, security forces, Election Commission and media. Dr. Yunus said that the top priority of the interim government is to restore law and order. He assured the diplomats that friendly relations will be maintained with all countries.

Dr. Yunus was appointed as the Chief Advisor of the Interim Government after the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina due to nationwide protests in Bangladesh.
