Jamshedpur, September 8, 2024: The Athletics Tracks at JRD Tata Sports Complex came alive with the vibrant energy of over 40 participants for the AIWC Walkathon, a health and wellness initiative organized by the All India Women’s Conference (AIWC) in collaboration with Tata Steel.
Energetic Start with Zumba
The event began with an energetic Zumba session led by the team from ‘Fast Step’, setting an enthusiastic tone for the day. Participants then embarked on a 2.4 km walk around the athletics tracks, completing six rounds. The walk concluded with a cool-down session, leaving everyone feeling invigorated and refreshed.

2.4 km Walkathon
The walkathon was meticulously coordinated by Tata Steel’s Sports department team, including Vibhuti Adesara, Head of Events & Training Centres, Ananya Lepii, Assistant Manager of Events & Administration, Anish, Sports Executive, and coaches Firoz Khan, Nageshwar Rao, Ajit Kumar Singh, Hassan Imam, Kunal Mishra, and Safdar Pathan. Department employee Arun Kumar also lent his support to the event.
