Jamshedpur, September 19, 2024 – In a move to strengthen community bonds, Jamshedpur FC has extended an invitation to approximately 1200 students from RMS High School, Khutadih, to attend their inaugural home match of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 season. The team, known as the Men of Steel, will face Mumbai City FC at the JRD Tata Sports Complex this Saturday at 5 PM.
Community Engagement at Its Best
Kundan Chandra, Jamshedpur FC’s Head of Grassroots and Youth Development, personally visited the students to rally their support. “Your support is what matters. The team is doing well, and we need to stand behind them when they play in our home town,” Chandra conveyed to the enthusiastic students, highlighting the significance of local support in the team’s performance.
Engaging the Youth Through Sport
The event was not just about watching a football match; it also featured a painting competition where 10 students were chosen to be escort kids. These children will accompany the players onto the field before the kickoff, adding a memorable touch to their experience.
Jamshedpur FC’s Strong Start to ISL Season
The invitation comes on the heels of Jamshedpur FC’s impressive comeback victory against FC Goa with a 2-1 scoreline. This match against Mumbai City FC is crucial as the Men of Steel aim to secure their second win in the season, with the backing of their local supporters.
Ticketing Details
For those eager to join in the support, tickets for the match are available at the box office next to Gate No. 1 on Straight Mile Road or can be conveniently booked online via ticketgenie.in.
An Event for the Community
This initiative by Jamshedpur FC not only showcases their commitment to football but also to nurturing community spirit through sports. By inviting students to the match, the club is not just seeking support for the game but is also fostering a future generation of football enthusiasts and potential players.
