India Shines at WorldSkills 2024, Secures Multiple Medals in Lyon
NEW DELHI, India – In a testament to India’s rising prowess in skill development, Union Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Jayant Chaudhary, is set to honor the winners from the WorldSkills 2024 competition held in Lyon, France. The event, which concluded last month, saw India clinch four bronze medals across various skill categories, marking a significant achievement on the international stage.
Medal Glory
India’s delegation not only secured four bronze medals but also earned 12 Medals of Excellence, demonstrating the high caliber of Indian talent in skilled trades. The competition, which drew over 1,400 participants from more than 70 countries, provided a platform for Indian competitors to stand toe-to-toe with some of the world’s most skilled nations like China, Japan, Germany, and the USA.
