THE TIME PRESS
The check on nomination papers for the second and last round of Bihar’s assembly elections wrapped up. This covers 122 assembly areas, and voting is set for November 11 next month.
During the review, a big name got knocked out. In East Champaran’s Sugauli seat, Shashi Bhushan Singh from the Vikassheel Insaan Party had his papers turned down. The reason? Not enough people to back him up as proposers. This hits hard for the Mahagathbandhan, the big opposition group that includes his party.
On the other side, the NDA has put forward Rajesh Kumar, who goes by Bablu Gupta, from the Lok Janshakti Party-Ram Vilas for the same Sugauli spot. Looks like they’re ready to push ahead.
Voting in this round will happen in places like Aurangabad, Bhagalpur, Jamui, Banka, Kaimur, Rohtas, Gaya, Nawada, Arwal, and Jehanabad. It also includes the Seemanchal area with Kishanganj, Purnia, Katihar, and Araria districts. Plus, Mithilanchal spots such as Darbhanga, Madhubani, Sheohar, Sitamarhi, Supaul, and both East and West Champaran.
Folks are watching closely as these elections shape up. The first round votes on November 6, and everyone’s gearing up for a tight race between the main groups.
