Gurugram/Bhopal: Karan Singh, Assistant Professor at K. R. Mangalam University, has been conferred with a Ph.D. degree by Jagran Lakecity University, Bhopal, for his research titled “Inspirational Impact of Sports Biopic Films on Youth.” The study was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Mohammed Amir Pasha (Research Supervisor) and Dr. Shivendu Kumar Rai (Co-Supervisor).
In his doctoral research, Karan Singh carried out a comprehensive analysis of the inspirational elements in Indian sports biopic films, exploring how these cinematic narratives shape youth perceptions, influence sports culture, and motivate young individuals to pursue sports as a career. The findings underscore that sports biopics serve not merely as entertainment but as powerful tools for encouraging positive attitudes, resilience, and ambition among the youth.
Jagran Lakecity University commended his research, acknowledging it as a valuable contribution to the understanding of cinema’s role in promoting sports and its broader societal impact. Expressing his joy upon receiving the Ph.D. degree, Karan Singh thanked his supervisors, university, and family, calling the achievement a major milestone in his academic journey.
