Neeraj Chopra Secures Second Place at Diamond League Final in Brussels

Ace Indian javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra finished in second position at the Diamond League Final in Brussels last night with a best throw of 87.86 meters. Neeraj narrowly missed out on the top spot by just 1 cm, as Paris Olympics bronze medallist Anderson Peters claimed the first position with a throw of 87.87 meters. Julian Weber of Germany secured third place with his best attempt of 85.97 meters.

This marks the second consecutive year that Neeraj has finished as the runner-up in the Diamond League. In 2023, he fell short of defending his Diamond Trophy, losing to Czech Republic’s Jakub Vadlejch. In that event, Neeraj had thrown 83.80 meters, while Vadlejch won the title with a throw of 84.24 meters.
