The World Climate Conference under COP-28 will be held in Dubai from November 30 to December 12

India’s Ambassador to the UAE Sanjay Sudhir has emphasized the historical ties between the two countries and said that their relations are based on people-to-people contacts, trade, investment, cooperation in the fields of education and health. Responding to a question regarding the discussions to be held during the World Climate Conference between UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said that this visit has greater multilateral importance. He said that leaders of more than 130 countries are participating in the conference and the Prime Minister will also get an opportunity to interact with many world leaders.

The World Climate Conference under COP-28 will be held in Dubai from November 30 to December 12 under the chairmanship of the United Arab Emirates.

The UAE hopes the summit will reach an agreement on tripling the use of renewable energy and doubling energy efficiency by 2030, while focusing on global goals on reducing the use of fossil fuels and on adaptation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also hold bilateral meetings with some leaders during the conference.
