The first National Space Day will be celebrated across the country on August 23. Last year on this day, Chandrayaan-3 mission’s Vikram Lander had a soft landing on the surface of the moon. President Draupadi Murmu will inaugurate the main function at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The theme of this year’s celebration is Touching the Moon, Touching Lives: India’s Space Story.

Minister of State for Space Dr Jitendra Singh said in New Delhi today that the first National Space Day is not only a day of celebration but also a day of reflection and introspection. He said that in the next ten years, the space economy will grow five times to about $ 44 billion. More than a thousand events were organized across the country in the last one month to mark the National Space Day.
