New Delhi: Thousands of young law graduates across the country are eagerly waiting for their AIBE 20 results. The All India Bar Examination, also called AIBE XX, was held on November 30, 2025, and everyone is glued to the Bar Council of India’s website for updates.
The exam was offline, with 100 questions, each worth one mark. The best part? No negative marking, so most students feel their scores should be decent. The provisional answer key came out on December 3, 2025, and candidates had until December 10 to raise any objections. Now, the council is reviewing those, and the final answer key should be out soon, followed by the results.
From what we’ve seen in past years and recent reports, the results could come by late January 2026 or early February. No exact date yet, but things are moving along.
On the cutoff front, the rules are clear: General and OBC candidates need at least 45% to pass – that’s usually around 42 to 45 marks out of 100. For SC, ST, and differently-abled candidates, it’s 40%, so about 37 to 40 marks. If any questions get dropped after objections, the total marks might reduce a bit, but the percentage stays the same.
Those who pass will get the Certificate of Practice, or COP – that’s the key document needed to start practicing law in courts. Without it, no advocacy work. And if someone doesn’t clear it this time, no worries – you can take the AIBE as many times as needed, no limit.
Students, keep checking the official site at allindiabarexamination.com. When results drop, you’ll log in with your roll number and password to see your status and download the scorecard.
This exam is a big step for every law grad dreaming of arguing cases in court. Best of luck to all – hope you get great news soon!
