Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw shares his views at Davos on why smaller AI models will lead the way ahead.
Union Minister for Electronics and IT, Ashwini Vaishnaw, recently spoke about the future of artificial intelligence during a private chat with the media at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. He said that the real power in AI will come from smaller and more efficient models, not from the huge, super-large systems that many people talk about today.
Vaishnaw explained that these smaller models can do the job well for most everyday needs, especially in businesses and different sectors. They use less power, cost less to run, and can be made to fit specific tasks perfectly. He feels this approach will bring better results and help more people benefit from AI.
This view comes at a time when the world is trying to find the best way to use AI for growth and progress. India’s minister stressed that focusing on practical, easy-to-use AI will make a big difference in the coming years.
