JAMSHEDPUR: The Sakchi market area in Jamshedpur witnessed a vibrant two-day celebration marking the birthday of Bollywood actor Madhuri Dixit. Organized by Pappu Sardar, who has been maintaining this tradition for the past 29 years, the event commenced on Thursday evening with a religious ceremony led by Santosh Kumar Tripathi.
The cultural segment featured performances by children from Sparsh Creative Academy, who danced to the actor’s hit tracks. This was followed by a spiritual session by the ISKCON team. During the event, the organizers honored over 50 senior journalists from the city for their contribution to society. A cake-cutting ceremony was held at 11:30 PM. The second day of the celebration on Friday includes a food drive and gift distribution for the specially-abled at Cheshire Home, Karandih. Free snacks and swings have also been arranged for the general public in Sakchi.
