Gauhati University Celebrates 79th Foundation Day with Joyful Ram Vijay Bhaona Show

Gauhati University marked its 79th Foundation Day on Tuesday with a special cultural event on campus. The university organised the traditional Ram Vijay Bhaona, a play created by Srimanta Sankaradeva many years ago.

People gathered in large numbers to watch the performance. Students, teachers and staff sat together and enjoyed the show. The play tells the story of Ram’s victory using songs, dances and simple acting. Everyone clapped and cheered at the end.

This event reminded everyone about the rich culture of Assam. It was a nice way to celebrate the university’s long journey since it started 79 years back. Many students said they felt happy seeing their traditions kept alive on campus. Such programs bring the whole university family closer.
