Guwahati, January 28: The Assam government is planning to hold an investment summit right here in Guwahati next month. The main aim is to finalize all the investment promises that were made during the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos, Switzerland.
Many business leaders and officials from Assam went to the forum earlier this year. There, they signed several MoUs with companies interested in putting money into the state. These agreements covered areas like industry, jobs, and new projects.
Now, the February summit will bring everyone together again. Government teams and investors will sit down to turn those signed papers into real work on the ground. Officials hope this will speed up the process and bring quick results for Assam.
This step is seen as important for the state’s future. It could open doors to more factories, better infrastructure, and new employment chances for local people. People in business circles are watching closely as Assam tries to attract more outside money.
The exact dates and list of guests for the summit are expected to be shared soon by the government. Many are hopeful that this event will mark a fresh start for economic activities in the region.
